What are the proposed changes for Emerson and Franklin Avenue?!?

Good morning, thank you for your question.

A specific plan has not been provided for the rezoning change on Emerson Avenue. The property owner immediately to the north of the site has recently purchased the property. I would anticipate that any development on that vacant land would be associated with the company to the north. More information about the rezoning request can be found here - https://engage.cityofhastings.org/421-emerson-avenue_rezoning-application.

As for the development on Franklin Avenue, the developer interested in purchasing the land plans to create 14 lots to construct 28 duplexes on the land. More information can be found here - https://engage.cityofhastings.org/case-no-2024-62-fairview-villas-redevelopment-plan. Check by Thursday, May 16th and the Planning Commission meeting packet will be linked on this page. Future updates will also be provided on this page.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact Development Services at 402-461-2331. Have a great day!
