Want more input on the future of library programming? Answer the 2-minute surveys below! We want your feedback on three follow up questions from the Community Survey. We'll use your input to enhance our programming and will also help us create the Hastings Public Library's Strategic Plan.

What's a Strategic Plan? In Nebraska, public libraries are accredited by the Nebraska Library Commission (NLC) at either the Gold, Silver, or Bronze level to ensure citizens are getting quality library service that meets the needs of their community. The level of accreditation a library receives also determines the amount of additional state or federal funding it may receive. Hastings Public Library is currently a Silver library, and in this Olympic year, we are going for Gold!

As part of our application, we'll include a strategic plan that identifies priorities and goals for the library in the upcoming years. HPL's application is due October 1, 2024 and, with this new survey tool, we're looking forward to the community providing input for our plan!

Take the 2-minute surveys and share your feedback! Don't forget to subscribe to stay informed about the project!
