A public hearing has been scheduled for a Variance filed with the Board of Adjustment for the City of Hastings, Nebraska, by Industrial Irrigation Service. The Variance is for two wind turbines to be constructed on the site that would exceed the maximum height and encroach into the minimum rear yard setback for small wind energy systems, as required by Hastings City Code, Section 34-314. Both turbines will be 116 feet in height and be as close as 30 feet to the north property line. The Variance is for the following real property commonly known as 22 East J Street which is zoned I-2, Heavy Industrial District.



The public hearing is scheduled with the Board of Adjustment on January 11, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the Hastings Municipal Airport, 3300 West 12th Street, Hastings, Nebraska, at which time all persons interested may be heard.
