The Housing Leadership group through the Community Impact Network (CIN) identified a need for a housing dashboard to provide an easily accessible source for housing information to visualize the current housing situation in the community and provided input to the city on the topics to include. The City of Hastings Development Services staff have developed a Housing Dashboard on an annual basis since 2024 to provide information on the following topics: demographic information, the goals and directions forward from the 2025 Housing Assessment, maps identifying housing types and owner/renter break-down throughout the city, housing affordability, list price and days-on-market information from Realtor.com, commuter information, and number of building permits from the past year. This information is important to determine what is existing in the community and provide a basis for determination of future need for housing. The images below provide access to the 2024, 2025, and 2026 Housing Dashboards.

Thank you for the question.
I, nor other staff members of the City of Hastings directly monitor these project pages for inappropriate language and inappropriate conduct. We rely on the website provider, Granicus, to apply their moderation policy. The moderation policy can be found at the bottom of each webpage on Engage.cityofhastings.org. Here is the link to the policy, as well.
If a City staff member notices inappropriate conduct, they can flag the post and have it reviewed by Granicus. However, to my knowledge, a staff member has not flagged a post to date.
Project managers routinely monitor their project pages for comments, questions, and other interactions during normal business hours to make sure the posts are addressed as quickly as possible.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions on this or other items, please feel free to give me a call at the Development Services office at 402-461-2331.
Thank you for your contribution!
