Because there are no other action items, January 28, 2025, Planning Commission meeting is CANCELED.

The Hastings Community Redevelopment Authority has made applications on behalf of Queen City Development for a proposed development at the property generally located northwest of the intersection of West 2nd Street and North Kansas Avenue, on the west side of North Kansas Avenue. The development plan would construct a new two-story, mixed-use building and covered parking on the property. The new building would house four, semi-detached residential units, with 2-3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in each unit, and a speculative commercial space. The developer has proposed to use Tax Increment Financing (TIF) as part of the financing plan to make the project feasible.

Requests have been made to the Planning Commission for the following items related to the proposed development:

Case # 2025-1: A public hearing to consider a request for a Plan Modification No. 2025-1 to Redevelopment Area #1 for the East End Redevelopment project.

Case #2025-2: A public hearing to consider a request for a Rezoning from C-2, Central Business District, to CP-2, Commercial Planned District.

The Hastings Planning Commission is scheduled to hear these requests during a public hearing on January 28, 2025, at 4:00 pm at the Hastings Municipal Airport, 3300 West 12th Street, Hastings, Nebraska.

The Hastings City Council is scheduled to hear this item during the public hearing at their February 24, 2025 meeting, which starts at 5:30 pm. This meeting will be at the Hastings Municipal Airport, 3300 West 12th Street, Hastings, Nebraska.

All interested parties are invited to provide comments, as described below.
