A public hearing has been scheduled for a Variance filed with the Board of Adjustment for the City of Hastings, Nebraska. The Variance is for a garage to be constructed on the site that would reduce the rear yard setbacks on the south side of the property from 10.2 feet to 4 feet. Additionally, the setbacks on the east side of the property would be reduced from 10 feet to 4 feet. The Variance is for the following real property commonly known as 500 E. 9th Street which is zoned R-3, Multiple Family Residential District.
The public hearing is scheduled with the Board of Adjustment on October 24, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the Hastings Municipal Airport, 3300 West 12th Street, Hastings, Nebraska, at which time all persons interested may be heard.
The application and materials related to the public hearing can be viewed at the Development Services Office, 3505 Yost Avenue from 7:00 a.m. – noon and 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. 1 - Send an email to the Development Services Staff. Your email will be provided to the Board of Adjustment. To have your comments provided in the Board of Adjustment packet, your comments must be received by noon, Wednesday before the Board of Adjustment Meeting. Otherwise, your email must be received by 12:00 pm the day of the Board of Adjustment to be given to them at the meeting.
2 - Attend the meeting in person to give public input. The public hearing date, time, and meeting location is described above.
