Comprehensive Plan Adoption Process Begins on February 18th

At the January 20, 2025, work session, the City Council gave the go-ahead to begin the adoption process of the City of Hastings Comprehensive Plan Update.

The Hastings Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at their February 18, 2025, meeting to consider the planning and policy document. This will be a public hearing, open to anyone who has a comment about the final draft document. The Planning Commission meeting starts at 4:00 pm and will be held at the Hastings Municipal Airport, 3300 West 12th Street.

The Planning Commission will then send its recommendation to the City Council, which will also hold a public hearing to consider the final draft document. This public hearing is scheduled to be on March 10, 2025. This public hearing is also open to anyone who has a comment about the planning document.
